Back to work

For all of you who know Brenton he is a very strong person so every day is better and better. He went to work for the first time yesterday the 24th and did ok he felt a little dizzy at times but overall did very well. He wanted to go back to see how he would do, he promised he wouldn't over do anything and if he wasn't feeling well he would let me know and I would come and get him. I'm not letting him drive to work quit yet it's far and I don't want to take any chances. You all might be thinking he's crazy and should be resting more but when you have a family to take care of and your the main source of taking care of that family and he feels pretty good he will always do what he has to for our family. We all know thats why he's so special to us he is huge on family and will do anything for people. I hope you all know how much I love him and I hope I'm taking good care of him. He's also back to coaching the boys football he's staying more on the sidelines than in the game but he knows to take it slow, and of course he has gone to Brenton Jr soccer game to support him and cheer him on as well. So slowly he's getting back into his norm and in only more time he will back to his norm on everything. I believe his next MRI is in about 2-3 more weeks we haven't called the Dr yet to see exactly when it is. So keep prayin it comes back clean. Thanks from all my heart for all your support, I know we can get through this.

Brenton continues to get better everyday. He was having a really good day and thought he could go coach football practice, it took convincing it was still to early, so he decided he would go for the ride to get out of the house. Yep I got to prove him right he was not feeling to great and realized a ten minute car ride was to much he couldn't wait to get home. So we'll have to take it slow and continue short outing test to know when he's feeling 100% again. He's just itching to get better and be back to his normal routine. For any of us who have had to go through any surgery knows how he feels. Keep bring on all your thoughts and prayers as I believe they can do wonders.

Hey,

Thanks for every ones wishes. We have been getting help from family, friends neighbors and people from work. Everything is going good. I have some headaches but its getting better everyday. We had the staples removed yesterday and I will have another MRI in about 3 or 4 weeks. We all have confidence that we will be able to get through this stuff. It wont be to long that we will be back to our regular activities.

As far as needing anything from anyone we are doing good. Like I said we've had lots of help the last week. This week seems to be the same.

Thanks again for the gifts, cards, food, candy and wishes. I should be back to work hopefully soon.

Thank you for Danny and his family and anyone who else helped setting this up so that we have been able to avoid the phone calls during this time. It would have just been to exhaustive to keep up with everyone.

Brenton
Brenton went to the Doctor Monday and they removed his staples from the side of his head. They said everything looked good there was still a little swelling but that should go down within a few weeks. He will go back in for another MRI in about 3 to 4 weeks to make sure if they removed all of the tumor. He is doing good except for a few headaches right now but that will also go away they said within a few weeks.

Sept. 10, 2009

Brenton's MRI came back revealing that all the tumor they could see was removed during surgery. However, the pathology report wasn't so good. The tumor was a
Grade II Astrocytoma. Right now the surgeon wants to watch him for about 6 weeks and then do another MRI. If any tumor is found on that MRI, he will have to begin radiation of that area of the brain. He is being released from the hospital right now to return home with his family. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and continue to comment on this blog. We will continue to update his situation as we get more information.

Brenton is in good spirits and eating. They have moved him out of ICU to the fourth floor. Still no news on todays MRI or results of the tumor biopsy.
